I got into a cab when I was in Melbourne and the driver was a Russian guy who asked me where I was from. I said I was from US and Colorado specifically and he spent the remainder of the cab right freaking out about “how could we Americans subject to world to such and idiot” it was pretty funny. It was also interesting to see that as much as other countries might not like the US they do really understand that what we do “internally” does really effect the rest of the world.
